What the household needs first
- A Samsung (2022+, Tizen 6.5+) or LG (2016+, webOS 3.0+) set with Smart IPTV installed
- The MAC address the app puts on screen
- Your Kikatv M3U link from WhatsApp

Getting Kikatv onto the screen
Install Smart IPTV and read the MAC
Search your Samsung or LG store for Smart IPTV and add it. Launch it once and copy down the MAC address on display — a run of letters and digits split by colons — because the following step calls for it and you will have moved to a phone or laptop by then.
Register your Kikatv playlist to that MAC
On a phone or laptop, head to siptv.app/mylist. Type that MAC in precisely, colons and all, drop your Kikatv M3U link into the URL box, tick Keep online, and hit Send. That tells the app which playlist belongs to your particular television.
Reopen the app on the set
Close Smart IPTV on the television and launch it afresh so it picks up the list you just posted. The channels and the program guide fill in, and from here the family can browse by group with the remote.
Hide the adult group and set up favorites
Before leaving it, make it safe. Smart IPTV lets you hide groups from the channel list, so lift the adult category out so it never shows for a child, and gather the kids channels into a favorites list they reach in a moment. On a shared family set this is what separates a television you can walk away from and one you cannot.
Activate once the seven days are up
You get a week free, and then the app asks a small one-time activation for that specific television over at siptv.app/activation. That sum goes to the people who make the app and has no bearing on your Kikatv subscription; we play no part in it, and it is a single charge rather than a monthly one.
Fixing the usual snags
The list went up but the set shows nothing
Give it a minute and relaunch the app before deciding it failed. Then make sure the MAC was typed in exactly, colons included, because one stray character ships your list off to a television that does not exist. Bear in mind too that the app keeps only a single playlist, so a fresh upload overwrites the last.
Smart IPTV is missing from my Samsung store
On Samsung the current Smart IPTV needs Tizen 6.5, which means a 2022 set or newer; older Samsungs no longer carry it. If yours predates that, use IPTV Smarters instead, which reaches back to around 2016, or fit a cheap stick to a spare HDMI port. The desk can confirm which apps your model supports.
It says the playlist has expired
That line concerns the app's own trial or stored list, not your Kikatv plan. If the seven days have passed, pay the one-time activation at siptv.app/activation; if a reset merely cleared the list, post your M3U link again at siptv.app/mylist to the same MAC and it returns.

Smart IPTV (SIPTV) IPTV FAQ
How does Smart IPTV differ from SS IPTV?
They are distinct apps from different makers tackling the same job in almost the same fashion, and the near-identical names breed no end of confusion. Smart IPTV goes the MAC-upload way described here; SS IPTV can take a link typed straight on the set. Both work with Kikatv, so use whichever your TV store actually keeps.
Can Smart IPTV be made safe for small children?
Within limits, yes. The app lets you hide groups, so you can take the adult category off the channel list entirely and leave the children a favorites list of their own. The controls are simpler than those in Smarters, but for a lean TV app it does the essential work of keeping the obvious things out of small hands.
Is the siptv.app charge part of my Kikatv plan?
No. The one-time fee at siptv.app/activation goes to the makers of the Smart IPTV app, for that one television, and it is wholly separate from your Kikatv plan. Your subscription is handled only over WhatsApp with us, and we never take a payment inside the app.
If I replace the family TV, does my upload move across?
Not on its own, because Smart IPTV ties the playlist to the television's MAC address, and a new set has a new MAC. The fix is quick: open the app on the new television, read off its MAC, and post your Kikatv M3U link to it at siptv.app/mylist just as you did the first time. Keep your M3U link to hand and the whole move takes a couple of minutes, with your subscription unaffected throughout.
Is Smart IPTV simple enough for an older relative?
Day to day, yes, because once the playlist is uploaded there is no sign-in to repeat and nothing to install again; the app just opens onto the channels. The one-off MAC upload is the fiddly part, and that is a job for whoever sets it up, not the person who watches. Arrange a short favorites list of their regular channels, hide the adult group, and the set behaves much like ordinary TV from then on.
