Kikatv – Family IPTV in 4K - Something for Every Age

TiviMate: Add Your Kikatv Subscription for the House

Most homes find their way to TiviMate after a spell with a plainer player, and the pull is always the guide: a true grid drawn out by channel and by time, which you can roam while something keeps running in the corner — exactly what you want when one person is lining up the next show as another is still watching. For a family it counts because it is the player that lets you build a television each person can steer. The single catch is the platform. TiviMate has always been Android and nothing but Android — no Apple, Samsung or LG build has ever shipped — so it runs on Android TV, Google TV, a Fire OS Firestick or an Android box.

What the household needs first

  • An Android TV, Google TV, Fire OS Firestick or Android box
  • Your Kikatv server, username and password from WhatsApp
  • Optional: TiviMate Premium, which brings recording, multi-view, extra playlists and group hiding

Getting Kikatv onto the screen

  1. Install TiviMate

On Android TV and Google TV it waits in the Play Store. On a Fire OS Firestick it has to be sideloaded with Downloader, as the Firestick guide spells out; note that the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, running Vega OS, cannot sideload at all. There is no Apple, Samsung or LG version, so reach for IPTV Smarters on that hardware instead.

  2. Add your Kikatv playlist

Open it, take Add playlist, then the Xtream Codes login. Put in the server address followed by the username and password from your WhatsApp note, and press Next. It never asks for an M3U link and has no need of one, since the Xtream login brings the guide and on-demand library with it.

  3. Name it and draw in the channels

Give the playlist a name you will know again if a second ever joins it — Living Room, perhaps — then let the channels and guide come down. It asks which categories to include; that is easily changed later, so do not fret over it now, just pull in the groups the family watches.

  4. Dial in the grid guide

Under Settings, then TV guide, set the refresh to every 12 hours so the grid stays current without pestering you. Because the guide source travels with the Xtream login, there is no separate EPG address to paste in anywhere, one of the things that makes TiviMate so easy to live with.

  5. Turn on Premium to tidy it for the home

Premium is where TiviMate earns its place in a family, and it is bought through the separate TiviMate Companion app on a phone, not from within TiviMate on the television — the catch that snares almost everybody. It costs about 9.99 dollars a year or a one-off lifetime license in the mid-thirties, with a seven-day trial. Premium opens up favorites, group hiding, recording, multi-view and extra playlists; the group hiding in particular lets you strip the adult categories off the grid entirely, so the children only ever meet what you leave on it.

Fixing the usual snags

TiviMate says the playlist could not be loaded

Make sure the server address still carries its port, and that the plan has not lapsed. Then key the password in by hand rather than pasting it, because text copied out of a chat regularly smuggles an invisible space along, which TiviMate then reads as the wrong password.

The guide reports no information

Force a refresh from Settings, TV guide, Update now, and restart the app. A first pass across a line-up this big can simply want more time than people allow it, so give it a few minutes before trying anything heavier.

Favorites and group hiding are greyed out

Those belong to Premium. Until you activate it through the Companion app on your phone, you can watch and browse but cannot save favorites or hide the adult groups. Start the seven-day Premium trial in the Companion app and the options light up inside TiviMate on the set right away.

TiviMate IPTV FAQ

What does TiviMate Premium cost, and what does a family gain?

Around 9.99 dollars a year, or a one-off lifetime license somewhere between 34 and 38 dollars depending on region, with a seven-day trial. For a household the handy parts are favorites and group hiding — which clears the adult categories off the grid completely — along with recording and multi-view. You buy it in the TiviMate Companion app on a phone, never on the television.

Will Kikatv run in TiviMate?

Yes, natively. Accounts go out as standard Xtream Codes logins, which is exactly what TiviMate is built for, so the guide, catch-up and on-demand sections all fill in with no extra fiddling. Add it under Add playlist, then the Xtream Codes login, and you are done inside a couple of minutes.

Can I shut the kids out of the adult channels in TiviMate?

Yes, by hiding those groups, which is a Premium feature. With Premium active you can hide the adult categories so they never show on the grid, and for most families that is cleaner than a code because there is simply nothing there to find. Build the children a favorites list of their own on top and the set is theirs to roam safely.

Can TiviMate record the children's shows for later?

It can, through Premium, which adds recording to the grid. Point it at a USB drive or network storage and you can set a children's program to record while you are out on the school run, then play it back on a wet afternoon. Premium also brings a pause buffer on live TV, so freezing a show when someone needs the bathroom is a single press rather than a scramble for the remote.

Do I need Premium on every TV in the house?

TiviMate Premium is handled through the Companion app and linked to your account there, and it can cover more than one of your own devices, so a family often need not pay separately for every television. The free tier still plays everything; it is favorites, group hiding, recording and multi-view that wait behind Premium, so weigh whether those features matter on a given set before activating it there.
